Introduction

Hello, I assume most people who come here to view this, at least in the beginning, already know me. So I'm not going to introduce myself too thoroughly. The main thing is that I am a student of art, and as the thingy at the top of my blog says, I hope to have an exchange of ideas with other artists, and also with people who don't consider themselves artists. I intend to share assignments, ideas, photographs, and all things art-related. Eventually I'll get a digital camera and really be able to share my art with everyone. In the meantime, we'll make due.

I am currently taking two art classes, one beginning painting and one beginning sculpture. The painting class is going extremely well, I love it, it is completely inspiring to me. Color is amazing and beautiful and really really hard for me! But I love it. Its a bit of a leap for me because I've never really worked in the 2-dimensional before. Its all new and I love it !!!

The sculpture class fluctuates between rewarding and extremely frustrating. I've done a lot of sculpture before this, I am very comfortable with working 3 dimensionally, and this class is designed for students who haven't much experience with that. Any class is only what you make it though, and when I stop feeling that all the assignments are ridiculous wastes of time, I can really get into it and make it worth my time. And maybe make some decent art.
